The Challenge

Prior to implementing Rently Intelligence, Peak’s leasing operation followed a more traditional, single-point-of-contact model with a high degree of manual coordination. While all prospective renters were supported, this structure created opportunities to improve lead response speed and availability, particularly during peak demand periods and outside standard business hours. Lead response times could extend during busy periods and into the following day for after-hours inquiries—an important gap given that most renters search in the evenings and expect near-instant engagement. The Solution

The central component of Rently Intelligence is Ria, a 24/7 AI Leasing Agent that manages the full lead lifecycle — from initial inquiry through tour booking and follow-up — via personalized email and SMS. Unlike a standard chatbot, Ria tracks each prospect’s journey through the funnel, delivering context-aware, human-feeling outreach that keeps prospects moving. She handles routine questions automatically, sends tour reminders, and re-engages no-shows, freeing Daniel to focus on high-value closing work.
A key advantage is Ria’s deep integration with Rently’s existing marketing and self-guided tour infrastructure. Because she tracks everything from initial listing views to completed tours, her engagement is informed by the full prospect journey, which is something generic AI tools can’t replicate. The impact of Rently Intelligence has been transformative for Peak’s now two-person team (one human and one AI), which also handles maintenance and resident services. Daniel notes that AI has automated 95% of common inquiries and saved approximately 30 staff hours per month. Now he is able to focus on strategic growth, lease execution, and future technology evaluations.
