As 2025 comes to a close, we at Rently are reflecting on a landmark year defined by a massive expansion of our hardware ecosystem, stronger relationships with industry partners, and a deeper focus on the entire resident lifecycle.
One thing is clear when looking back at our 2025 milestones, we have remained focused on one goal: creating a seamless, secure, and automated experience for both property managers and residents.
1. Launching the Resident Lifecycle Management (RLM) Platform

This year, Rently moved beyond being just a point solution to offering a fully integrated Resident Lifecycle Management Platform. This evolution connects every stage of the rental process, from listing to leasing and living, within a single ecosystem. By combining AI leasing, smart access, and integrated operations, we’ve empowered property managers to reduce overhead while providing residents with a modern, high-tech living experience.
2. Hardware Innovation

Our hardware catalog saw significant upgrades in 2025, focused on improving security while offering the flexibility that operators and renters need:
- Rently Smart Bolt Elite: In a major partnership with Kwikset®, we launched the Smart Bolt Elite. This next-gen smart lock merges Rently’s patented self-touring technology with Kwikset’s SmartKey Security®, offering property managers a secure, re-keyable solution that can be controlled via Bluetooth or Z-Wave.
- Expanded Security & Surveillance: We officially launched a new high-performance camera line. This expansion brings 24/7 video monitoring to multifamily communities, providing a new layer of safety and peace of mind for residents and staff alike.
- Access Panel Pro: We introduced the Access Panel Pro, a companion product to our Access Panel with Intercom, for spaces that don’t require intercom functionality, such as amenities or common areas.
- Smart Hub Pro: We combined a smart home hub and thermostat into one powerful device to streamline installs and prevent device unplugs and removals.
3. Integrations & Partnerships

We believe PropTech should be an open ecosystem. In 2025, we announced key integrations to streamline the “lead-to-lease” process:
- AppFolio: We announced a major integration with AppFolio, streamlining the way property listings and self-guided tours are managed. This integration allows AppFolio users to sync data effortlessly, reducing manual entry and accelerating the leasing clock.
- Buildium: Similar to the AppFolio integration, Buildium users can sync their property details into Rently and view guest cards in Buildium for any Rently powered tour.
- HappyCo: We’ve automated the maintenance entry process to save staff time and improve security. Now, when a work order is created in HappyCo, a unique temporary access code is automatically generated for the unit’s Rently smart lock and attached directly to the work order, ensuring vendors have secure, trackable access without the need for physical keys.
- Zillow: We’ve partnered with Zillow to allow renters to schedule self-guided tours directly from your multifamily listings. This integration creates a faster path to tour for renters with fewer steps. For property managers, capturing tours at the source increases lead volume with ready-to-tour, qualified renters while freeing up staff to focus on higher-value tasks.
- Local Logic: To help renters make better-informed decisions, we partnered with Local Logic. By integrating their location intelligence into our platform, we now provide renters with deep neighborhood insights, such as walkability and nearby amenities.
4. Industry Reports & Research

Our 2025 research focused on the shifting expectations of the modern renter and the ethics of new technology:
- Rently 2025 Report on AI in Leasing: This critical study revealed that 74% of renters lose trust when AI isn’t disclosed.
- 2025 Smart Apartment Trends Report: Our data showed a massive shift in renter priorities, with 58% of renters stating they would sacrifice pools or gyms for smart home technology and security.
- 2025 Apartment Design & Decor Trends: A look at how the “renter-ship” economy is changing interior design, as residents stay in their leases longer and invest more in cozy, affordable home aesthetics.
5. Rently Events

Rently brought industry leaders together to lead the conversation on the future of property management:
- SFR Security Symposium: Hosted in Atlanta, this event gathered property managers and law enforcement to tackle the rising challenges of rental fraud and squatting in the Single-Family Rental market.
- Rently Summit 2025: Our flagship annual event showcased Rently’s vision for end-to-end Resident Lifecycle Management (RLM).
6. Awards & Recognition

Our commitment to innovation and security did not go unnoticed this year. Rently was proud to receive several of the industry’s most prestigious accolades in 2025:
- HousingWire Tech100 Real Estate Award: Rently was named to the 13th annual HousingWire Tech100, a definitive list of the most innovative and impactful technology companies in the housing industry. This award recognizes our role in transforming the real estate experience through automation and our groundbreaking Resident Lifecycle Management platform.
- IoT Breakthrough “Home Security Product of the Year”: In January, the Rently Smart Bolt was selected as the winner in the 9th annual IoT Breakthrough Awards. Out of thousands of global nominations, our smart lock was recognized for its superior security features, durability, and its ability to offer a “worry-free” renter experience through seamless smart home integration.
